Visiting the website

This is a static studio and product website, hosted using Cloudflare Pages. Serving and protecting it involves processing technical information such as your IP address, requested address, request time, browser and device information, response details and security events. Cloudflare processes request and security information to deliver content, maintain its network and detect abuse. Having no website analytics does not mean that no personal information is processed.

Our legal basis for delivering and securing the website is our legitimate interest in running a reliable website, protecting visitors and preventing misuse.

The website code includes no advertising, visitor analytics, contact forms, mailing-list signup or third-party embeds. It sets no cookies or browser storage. Cloudflare’s hosting and security services may use strictly necessary technologies to manage traffic or respond to suspicious requests; these depend on the security features in use. See Cloudflare’s cookie information for the technologies associated with those features. We do not use optional tracking cookies in the website code.

When you email us

If you send an enquiry, support request or expression of playtesting interest, we receive your email address, any name you provide, message, attachments and email delivery information. Please send only information needed for your request and avoid sensitive personal information.

We use this information to reply, help with problems and manage your request. If you express playtesting interest, we may contact you about that request; this does not subscribe you to a mailing list or guarantee a place. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling enquiries and supporting our products. Where your request concerns entering into or performing a contract with you, we process necessary information on that basis. We may also retain particular records to meet a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Providers and international processing

We use Cloudflare for hosting and security and Namecheap Private Email for email delivery and mailbox storage. These providers and their service suppliers process information needed to deliver their services. We may disclose relevant information where legally required or necessary to protect legal rights. We do not sell enquiry information.

Provider processing can take place outside the UK, including in the United States and other countries where they and their suppliers operate. Their data-processing terms address international transfers. Cloudflare’s terms provide for the Data Privacy Framework where applicable and standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum for relevant restricted transfers. Namecheap’s published data-processing terms include contractual provisions for international transfers, including UK transfers. These terms do not mean all information stays in the UK.

You can read Cloudflare’s data-processing terms, Namecheap’s data-processing terms and Namecheap’s privacy information. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data or a copy of applicable safeguards.

How long information is kept

We keep enquiry and support correspondence for 12 months after the enquiry is resolved. We keep particular records longer only where a documented legal, accounting or dispute requirement justifies it, and delete them when that reason no longer applies. This includes correspondence about playtesting interest.

Technical request and security information is subject to the providers’ service retention and security arrangements. We do not specify a fixed provider log-retention period here because it varies by service and configuration. Provider-managed backups and operational records follow the providers’ deletion and backup cycles; deleting a message from our mailbox does not promise immediate erasure from every provider backup.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, have it erased, restrict processing, or receive portable information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights have legal limits; we may need proportionate information to verify your identity before responding.

Contact [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
